FEED Cooperative works closely with Food For Thought, a non-profit based in Sonoma county. Their mission; Fostering health and healing with food and compassion.

All donated FEED Bins* are packed just like our customer-bound FEED Bins and, instead of being delivered to doorsteps and hubs throughout the North Bay, are picked up by Food For Thought’s incredible volunteers who work alongside their staff to distribute those boxes to individuals and families in need.

Last year, they served more than 4,000 people, including men, women, and dependent children of parents who live with HIV, COVID-19 and other serious medical conditions. They provide services in English and Spanish. Half of their clients receive delivery service because they are homebound due to ill health, living with homelessness, isolating due to a positive COVID diagnosis, or do not have transportation. Almost 600 volunteers help them deliver food, work in their organic garden, and more.

We encourage those who are able to donate their FEED Bin order in lieu of cancellation. Just let us know by 5pm on Monday for Tuesday/Wednesday orders or 5pm on Thursday for Friday/Saturday orders. *FEED Cooperative Bin donations are tax deductible! We will coordinate with the team at Food For Thought at the end of each calendar year, communicating your cumulative donation amount for a proper donation receipt. Stay tuned for those details come December.
